Writing a children’s book has been a dream of mine for many years. As an elementary school teacher and a mother of four, I’ve read hundreds of children’s books. I enjoy embarking on the journey that each book has to offer. I remember thinking about writing a children’s book as a new teacher nearly 20 years ago. At that time I was just starting my career in education, so writing a book was not at the forefront of my mind. Fast-forward several years later, and after having my first 3 kids, I began to think of the many day-to-day things we did with our children that inspired me to take my dream as a children’s book author seriously. When I expressed my interest to a family friend, he said “Write it!” with enthusiasm.
